Provo police announced Tuesday that they anticipate prosecutors will file failure to report charges against an LDS bishop accused of not reporting a sex abuse incident. The criminal charges are expected, even though the initial abuse case has been dismissed. Prosecutor Craig Johnson, who had been preparing for Tuesday's hearing, instead filed a motion in 4th District Court to dismiss the charges Monday. Bond's death certificate was attached. "When cases drag on and on and on over months and years, these victims relive the very abuse they suffered," said Johnson, who spoke to two of the three women Monday. Police are concerned that there may be other victims. Police said Adams told the victim he had "extorted money from several other men and ruined their lives." "There's some [speculation] of this happening more than once and so we are calling upon the public to have the courage to come forward, as this victim did in this case," said Craig Johnson, the prosecuting attorney.
